We’ve been letting Alma House since 2004 having bought the cottage on the day we first saw it one cold, wet February afternoon. Abercych is a special place and it felt good to be there even on a day when the weather was awful. Nine months of renovation later the property was improved to the standard which continues to warrant its four star rating with the Wales Tourist Board. Every year we continue to improve the cottage, its gardens and fields with the aim of providing as enjoyable an environment for your holiday as we possibly can.
The cottage is surrounded by the pastures of an organic farm and mature woodland, it’s the perfect spot for a holiday in Wales. We’re located at the point where three ancient glacial valleys meet, those of the famously picturesque River Teifi, the River Cych and the Nant Morw, a small stream. The geography provides an open aspect amongst the gentle hills and the sun shines on the house and its gardens throughout the day.
Abercych is only a short drive from the sandy beaches of North Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion but it offers the tranquility of truly Wild West Wales with its unspoilt countryside, quiet roads and laid back lifestyle. The area abounds with wildlife and is the perfect spot for nature lovers of all ages, many of our visitors have had their first sight of badgers, otters and kingfishers while staying at the cottage.
